Life as a Vet !

I want to thank all those who have read and commented on this blog. I am also sorry for teh lack updates over the past year. I hope to update it much more often. I did make it through vet school and have been happily employed for the past 2 years. It has been a busy and exciting past few years.

At first it was a bit scary, but I have learned so much and I do love my job. I'm hoping to update with both tips for admission to vet school as well as answer any questions you may have on the profession.

Please post comments on what you may like to see in upcoming posts.

Also, if looking for advice on admission to vet school please look at my old posts which are linked on the left hand side of the page.

Thanks again!

I just found your blog and I'm happy I did. I am 40 and looking at vet schools. It's always been in me, but I think now it's time. I come from a long line of late bloomers.

Do you have any thoughts or advice for the non-traditional student? I have a bachelors already.

I was wondering how much schooling does one have to go through to be a vet. I dream of one day being a veterinarian in Toronto and would love getting some advice. Thanks

It's awesome that you have been able to become a veterinarian. I want to pursue a career with animals as well. Are there any tips you could give to me? I would greatly appreciate it.

While growing up, vet school was my dream. I wanted to work on large animals for big performances. Things like championship animals for the triple crown and such.

It would be so fullfilling to be a veterinarian! Saving people's pets, or family members as some might say, is so important. We've been looking for a veterinarian for our dog when she gets sick again.

Study Smarter!

Obviously getting good grades is a key and sometimes difficult part to preparing yourself for veterinary school. The best advice I can give you is to work hard, use tutors for specific topics if needed, and be sure you are using your study time wisely. Also, there are products out there that might be beneficial in helping you to learn, study, and make the best grades possible. Here is one product I ran across yesterday. Please check it out if you are interested. It comes with a 60-day full refund , so at least give it a try and let us know if it worked for you! Study Tips!
